A quick fix to patch up jeans after weight gain/loss

PerfectFitButton

The makers of the Perfect Fit Button are asserting that all it takes to adjust skirts, jeans, and slacks you might’ve outgrown due to weight gain/loss is the snap of a button. It’s a cool idea, but they can’t say that it automatically tailors your clothes. Besides your waist, there’s the width of the leg seam to consider (especially if it’s a skinny/stovepipe/bootcut style) and just general appearance — if pants don’t fit right, people won’t wear ‘em. The button seems like a quick fix, but ultimately you’ll need to find the right clothes for your body type, especially once it changes drastically.

Where I’m sure it’ll be effective is with kids who seem to sprout out of their clothes, when parents simply can’t afford to keep replacing baggy jeans. But if you unfortunately find yourself unable to fit into your dress slacks or your favorite pair of skinnies, I’d suggest using the button as a quick fix at a dinner or a party, but then finding another (affordable!) pair that you’ll love just as much.
